Winter at Timbernook.

When snow blankets the forest, Timbernook transforms into a cozy winter escape:

Skiing & snowboarding

  • Mont-Tremblant is a major draw: downhill runs, alpine slopes, and a full ski village experience.
  • Nearby slopes, local hills, or smaller ski areas may offer more intimate terrain (check locals for that)

Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing & winter trails

  • The Domaine Saint-Bernard (in the Tremblant area) has 45 km of trails for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and winter walking.
  • Mont-Tremblant also maintains winter walking and snowshoe trails.

Other winter fun

  • ATV / side-by-side / 4×4 trails (many Laurentian regions host winter off-road adventures)
  • Cozy nights by fire, hot tub under falling snow, card games and warm comfort

Summer at Timbernook.

When the snow melts and the forest bursts into green, the region around Timbernook comes alive with activity:

River & water adventures

  • White water rafting on the Rivière Rouge: classic, half-day or full-day guided trips with varying levels of rapids.
  • Canoe / kayak / tubing on the Rivière Rouge: scenic, relaxing paddles or fun tubing adventures.
  • Beaches & swimming: along the river and in nearby lakes (check for local beach access; many river trips include quiet sandy banks).

Hiking & trails

  • The Mont-Tremblant region offers over 11 marked trails, from easy 1 km walks to more challenging routes, crossing forests, streams, and offering scenic vistas.
  • Around Labelle itself, trails like Green Mountain Loop, Nez-de-l’Indien, and Indian Nose are favorites among locals.
  • The Domaine Saint-Bernard (in the Tremblant area) offers a large biking/hiking network and a swimming beach in warmer months.

Nature & local charm

  • Wildlife watching: deer, birds, forest critters
  • Picnics in the mountains or along rivers
  • Scenic drives through Laurentian mountain roads

The Experience.

This is the kind of place where mornings start slow—coffee in hand, wrapped in a blanket by the fire. Days are for hiking, laughter, and maybe a dip in the hot tub. Nights are for good food, card games, and stories that get funnier as the fire burns lower.

You won’t find much cell reception out here (and that’s the point). But don’t worry—you can connect to Wi-Fi and use Wi-Fi calling if you need to check in with the world.
